Pres SezWe typists remember well our instructor’s practice sentence we perfected with much use: "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party." Even though it doesn’t pertain to Amateur Radio, we can and should apply it to our Club hoping that some members might just step forward and assume the soon to be vacant officer roles. Now IS the time for change and new ideas for the survival of our Club. The offices will stand vacant again unless someone volunteers. I personally don’t like to "strong arm" anyone to assume anything, and some have mentioned that I should give a stronger message for our Club’s survival. So unless…. Our Christmas party will be held at Mitzel’s American Kitchen in Poulsbo on 14 December and will take the place of our second Wednesday meeting. We will gather anytime after 6PM with dinner at 7PM. As was last year, the Club will provide $5 per person and as voted at the last meeting, there will be no entertainment unless someone wants to speak, sing or dance. I personally will do neither. There is room for 45 and RESERVATIONS are a must as I have to let the restaurant know on the 12th the number and selections for their planning purposes. I will use color coded tickets as we did last year, and substitutions aren’t allowed. There is just a short time to think about who will lead the club next year The club offices are listed on the newsletter mailpage. Look over the list and think about the office you would consider or else who would make a good candidate. If somebody approaches you and asks you to consider a position, listen and give some thought to it. After all, they have confidence that you have the qualifications for the office you are being asked to consider. NKARC is an active club with many interesting pro- |
grams and presentations. Club members represent many diverse aspects of amateur radio and they are willing to share their experiences and expertise. The club has had exceptional leadership but the leadership must change to avoid stagnation and to introduce new ideas. Take an office and help continue the action. ==========00000========== Annual Christmas Dinner: The NKARC Annual Christmas Party will be on December 14th at Mitzel’s Restaurant in Poulsbo.
