Pres Sez

Greetings! The time has come for new leadership, ideas and opportunities for some Club members to "step up and Shine." This will be my last "PrezSez" and soon there will be new officers. Some might want to continue on, but I will not. The last two years have been great, and I have many nice memories. I especially want to thank those who have given so much to the Club, and at the Christmas Dinner, I'll express more thanks in detail. There are many to name, but all the members know that our success has been accomplished by about eight or so members who are and have been very dedicated to the success of our Club. To them I offer a special thanks for a job well done.

I must say that I'm somewhat disappointed that more locals haven't supported the Club. The twenty to thirty regulars that attend are surely a minority compared to the numbers present in our area. Thanks to Russ(KI7PG) who sent me "PreCon Spectum-on Line" that named the licensees in the area. The list had 228 in Poulsbo, 10 in Indianola and 48 in Hansville. I got discouraged and didn't download Kingston or Silverdale/Bremerton. I wonder what they all do to support Amateur Radio? Do they operate their rigs or are the rigs in storage? To quote Scripture, I feel like one "crying in the Wilderness." O well, enough said. Again, thanks to those who supported me and the Club and I'll enjoy the nice memories. I will still join and attend and be supportive to the new officers, and will come when possible to take up one of the many empty chairs at our Club meetings. .

73 (Rev) Jerry Turner, K9CCZ President (Lame Duck!)

Another reminder:

The nomination and election of club officers takes place at the December dinner meeting. There is just a short time to think about who will lead the club next year

The club offices are listed on the newsletter mailpage. Look over the list and think about the office you would consider or else who would make a good candidate. If somebody approaches you and asks you to consider a position, listen and give some thought to it. After all, they have confidence that you have the qualifications for the

office you are being asked to consider.

NKARC is an active club with many interesting programs and presentations. Club members represent many diverse aspects of amateur radio and they are willing to share their experiences and expertise. The club has had exceptional leadership but the leadership must change to avoid stagnation and to introduce new ideas. .
