Tally-Ho!The Fox!

The NKARC Foxhunt Page

About Foxhunting When's the hunt?

Foxhunting is the fine art of wandering aimlessly over hill and dale whilst loaded down with enough electronic equipment to single-handedly repair the MIR space station...

Seriously, (if that's possible), Foxhunting is a great way to learn about propagation, electronics, antennas, geography, and people to name just a few. It's all about a bunch of (crazy?) hams trying to locate a hidden transmitter, the "fox", within a predefined area, (usually a few miles), and a predetermined time (usually one to two hours). This is generally followed by a feast and lie-swapping session. Give it a try - You'll like it!

NKARC foxhunts are held whenever
two or more teams agree to attend!
